Dr. Appaji Krishnan’s repertoire of work covers the entire gamut of spinal disorders and this includes spinal deformity, tumors, spinal injuries, infection and degenerative diseases. He has pioneered wide variety of state-of-art procedures in the surgical management of spinal deformities, spondylolisthesis and spinal tuberculosis. He is frequently invited nationally as well as internationally to conduct workshops on advanced spinal techniques, perform live demonstration surgeries and talk on modern techniques in spinal surgery. He conducts the spinal fellowship program, which offers training to aspiring spine surgeons from India and abroad. He always found time to pursue his interest in sport and in fact he represented the state of Pondicherry in hockey at national level.
